Sheila Wiliams Dog Training
Trainer Sheila Williams has been working with dogs in one capacity or another since her first border collie at 45.
In the last 23 years, I have steadily worked to improve my skills and knowledge base by taking seminars and attending classes. I have worked with countless dogs through rescue, teaching classes, and taking on private clients.
In 2016 I decided that I needed my certification. I became CPDT-KA certified in April of 2018.
I bill myself as an R+ trainer because that allows the public to easily identify me. In practical terms, I am as R+ as possible; I use only gentle, effective, humane methods that are grounded in science. My tag line is “Positive methods. Positive results.”
Sheila uses and promotes the use of gentle and humane positive training methods that are grounded in science. Sheila’s methods will help the owner communicate more effectively with their dog, help the dog learn how to make good choices, and provide the foundation for a lifelong relationship built on trust and respect.
Experience and Certification
Sheila has 20 years of experience working with dogs in different capacities including rescue, daycare, rehabilitation, group classes, and private training. Although she has dabbled in agility, Rally, and obedience, Sheila’s passion has always been helping pet dogs thrive in the home environment.
Sheila is a CPDT-KA certified dog trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Sheila regularly attends training seminars and conferences to stay current on the latest practices, methods, and equipment so that she can be the best possible trainer for you and your dog.
