About

Sheila Wiliams Dog Training

Trainer Sheila Williams has been working with dogs in one capacity or another since her first border collie at 45.

In the last 23 years, I have steadily worked to improve my skills and knowledge base by taking seminars and attending classes. I have worked with countless dogs through rescue, teaching classes, and taking on private clients.

In 2016 I decided that I needed my certification. I became CPDT-KA certified in April of 2018.

I bill myself as an R+ trainer because that allows the public to easily identify me. In practical terms, I am as R+ as possible; I use only gentle, effective, humane methods that are grounded in science. My tag line is “Positive methods. Positive results.”

Training Philosphy

Sheila uses and promotes the use of gentle and humane positive training methods that are grounded in science. Sheila’s methods will help the owner communicate more effectively with their dog, help the dog learn how to make good choices, and provide the foundation for a lifelong relationship built on trust and respect.
